Vintage Wooden Hand-Painted Thimble Southwestern Desert by Mot Cactus Sombrero

Hi! The inside of this thimble has “Mot” written inside of it with marker or pen, so I’m guessing this is the brand or artist. I believe this thimble is from the 80s of 90s.
Decorative wooden thimble with a pastel sky painted on. There’s a saguaro cactus and a man wearing a sombrero underneath. If I had to guess I’d say this thimble was likely bought as a souvenir in Arizona, New Mexico, etc.
